About the facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region.
Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
This role is based between the Corio Community Health Centre in which you will be delivering outreach Speech Pathology at the Bannockburn Family Services Centre within the Golden Plains Shire.
About the role In this community-based role, you will provide speech pathology assessments and services to children up to school age living within the Golden Plains Shire.
This role will include but not limited to the following;
To provide and develop speech pathology service delivery in the designated clinical area, applying evidence based, informed, client centred care within a multi-disciplinary setting.To provide teaching, supervision, support and development of less experienced staff and undergraduate students.Facilitate the smooth transition of clients through the health care system, liaising with relevant staff and community agencies to ensure continuity of care for individual patients/clients and their families.Maintain annual credentialing requirements and continuing professional development (CPD) standards outlined by Speech Pathology Australia and BH.Training in the Lidcombe Program and Paediatric Feeding is desirable for this role.
