Company Background
An industry-leading Allied Healthcare organisation dedicated to working closely with families and caregivers.
Their primary goal is to ensure that your work experience is supportive and enjoyable; they believe a positive work environment benefits not only you but also your clients and the entire team.
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Speech Pathologist to assume the position. Your responsibilities will include:

Provide a high-quality family-centred, child-focused speech pathology service to children with a variety of developmental delays and their families that includes assessment, treatment, education and appropriate referral to children.
Work in partnership to build parents'/caregivers' capacity to actively participate in their child's learning in the areas of speech, language and communication and ensure the best therapeutic outcomes. If the child has NDIS funding, this includes working together to achieve the NDIS goals.
Consult with parents, childcare educators, preschool educators and other team members to support the transfer of skills to other learning environments.
Develop and implement therapeutic groups and programs for children (e.g., stuttering, social skills, school readiness, speech and language groups), including co-facilitation of groups with other members of the team.
In consultation with the other members of the Paediatric Team, assist eligible children to access NDIS funding, including completion of assessments and required documentation. Perform speech and language assessments and provide evidence-based individual and group interventions.
Work in a well-equipped sensory therapy space that is an enriching environment with resources that foster children's speech, language, emergent literacy, and social/emotional development.
Establish positive relationships with families through effective communication and frequent face-to-face interactions.
