Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, Yorke and Northern Region, Various LocationsSalary - multi-classed AHP1 / AHP2$34.49 - $42.10 per hour + 25% casual loading - AHP1$44.45 - $51.49 per hour + 25% casual loading - AHP2Casual Contracts available up to 30 April 2025About the Role We invite you to join our supportive and dynamic multi-disciplinary team within Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN), as a Rehabilitation Speech Pathologist.
Speech pathologists at YNLHN are rural generalists providing clinical services to adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties. We provide services through a variety of therapy modes including 1:1, groups, telehealth, and consultative services.
As part of the Rehabilitation Speech team, you will work predominantly using a multi-disciplinary model delivering client centred care. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in communication including speech, language, and fluency, as well as supporting clients to access AAC to meet their communication needs. Paediatric feeding is also a key focus area, working as part of a multi-disciplinary feeding team. We service children aged 0 to 4 years, prior to school entry, and address the health and medical needs of children aged 0 to 18 years.
Working with adults, you will have the opportunity to develop your dysphagia management and adult communication (speech, language, and voice) skills. We work with adults in hospitals, nursing homes and in the community, including palliative care support. We also provide education and training for staff within nursing homes and residential facilities around dysphagia management and IDDSI standards.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP1 or AHP2 and appointment classification will be determined by qualifications and experience. Please refer to the job pack below for more information.
Applicants must hold a recognised qualification within the Speech Pathology profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia. For self-regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional association accredited CPD program.
