About
Learning Re-Imagined is a fast-growing Allied Health Practice providing in-house and community-based speech therapy services to families in the greater West Melbourne. We pride ourselves in delivering family-centred care with excellent client outcomes.
We are seeking a warm, highly motivated, organised and creative speech pathologist who can come to share in our passion for making a difference in the lives of children with a communication disorder and is willing to work in ways that challenge industry norms and help to solve the prevalent problems within the industry, such as limited access to services.
The Practice Director- Lorna is motivated by efficiency and solving problems in creative ways. She has had experience starting and growing a similar practice (Speech Therapy Totos) in an underserved region (Kenya), which is currently the largest provider of speech therapy services despite a severe shortage of speech pathologists in the region. Being able to provide services that provide out-of-the-box solutions that ensure better and more widespread access and subsequently more impact, is her driving force.
This is an autonomous role with regular supervision and in-house training. The role involves delivery of evidence-based individual therapy as prescribed by the lead allied health professional.
This role will have many opportunities for growth, including opportunities to collaborate with underserved regions such as Kenya as a remote educator or visiting clinician (ethical tourism).
