Speech & Language Therapist - Lancashire
Salary: £43,585 - £49,119 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

About the RoleAs a Speech & Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and interventions, helping individuals regain essential skills and achieve personal goals. Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will use your expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate tailored rehabilitation programmes. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment with excellent training and development opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Practice:
Provide evidence-based, person-centred care to individuals with complex needs, including communication difficulties and dysphagia.
Manage a caseload autonomously with supervision as needed for complex cases.
Develop and implement care plans, rehabilitation goals, and training programmes for communication partners.
Assess and manage risks effectively, maintaining professional accountability.Collaboration & Mentorship:
Work closely with therapy, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive care.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, volunteers, assistants, and students.Professional Development:
Stay abreast of best practices and current research in neurorehabilitation and speech and language therapy.
Apply innovative models of practice to ensure optimal outcomes for individuals.Experience, Skills, and QualificationsEssential:
* Degree in Speech & Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
* Experience managing dysphagia cases.
* Knowledge of neurorehabilitation models, clinical reasoning, and outcome measures.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational and IT skills.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in neurorehabilitation or a relevant healthcare setting.
