Welders & Boilermakers (Trades & Services) Full time
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a full-time Welding/Boilermaker Team Leader to support our team in Wangara.
This position will report to the Workshop Supervisor and will be responsible for: Ensure all work performed meets the requirements of the required standards as dictated by Work Instructions and Welding Inspectors. Supervise planned and unplanned shutdowns on client sites. Fault find and resolve problems within your area of competence. Carry out testing and inspection within your area of competence. Ensure all workmanship is completed to a high standard. Ensure work area is kept neat and clean to the standard required by the Company. Provide technical advice to personnel within your team. Identify work performance issues to Workshop Supervisor. Assist Workshop Supervisor with appraisals and probationary reviews as required. Assist supervisors to achieve set goals and objectives. The Successful Candidate will ideally have: A recognised Australian or accredited International Welding trade certificate or an in-house apprentice year 3 or above. More than 5 years' experience in welding trade and have credible references to support this experience. Ability to display at interview a working knowledge of maintenance welding and fabrication, including knowledge and experience in more than 1 welding process and at least 2 metal groups. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Strong leadership skills and knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.). Deftness and attention to detail.
