About the Role We are only successful if our customers are getting demonstrable value from our AI products and services. The primary focus is ensuring that our clients achieve success from leveraging our AI products and services by integrating the outcomes of our data science capabilities into their business to generate great customer experiences. This requires onboarding new customers to Elula's AI products and ongoing servicing of subscriptions.
As a senior data scientist, you will be part of a high-performing team, owning specific data science outcomes. You will work closely with other data scientists and collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and customer-facing roles, solving interesting data science problems that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities Investigate described problems and datasets to assess the usefulness of data science and analytics solutions. Apply a range of data science techniques and use specialized programming languages. Understand and apply industry-specific rules and guidelines while anticipating risks and other implications of modeling. Select, acquire, and integrate data for analysis. Develop data hypotheses and methods and evaluate analytics models. Advise on the effectiveness of specific techniques based on project findings and comprehensive research. Define and enhance processes associated with deploying, monitoring, and running models in production. Generate and communicate insights aligned to business objectives and relevant to diverse stakeholders and clients. Manage demand and prioritization with business stakeholders and balance long-term objectives versus immediate delivery. Work independently with the business to proactively propose and develop data science solutions to customer problems. Mentor other data science team members on data science best practices. Lead projects to create scalable and reliable end-to-end solutions for our customers. Optional Skills and Other Relevant Experience A bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field. 5+ years of working experience in a data science position, preferably in the financial services industry. Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity to provide pragmatic commercial solutions that meet stakeholder expectations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence. Sound knowledge of data management and risk management principles. Expert in programming across one or more of R, Python, and SQL. Advanced data analysis, database management, and logical data modeling skills. Demonstrable experience with big data, machine learning, predictive analytics, and communicating data science outcomes to senior stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with stakeholders. Experienced in agile working practices, DevOps, and CI/CD principles.
