Freedom Solutions Australia operates across NSW and Victoria. It is a volunteer-based, not for profit organisation providing assistive technology solutions and occupational therapy services for people living with disability and older people. For over 40 years we have been a valued stakeholder in the disability services sector, enabling our clients to achieve their goals through the:
Design and construction of custom assistive technology otherwise commercially unavailable; Modification of commercially available equipment to suit clients' individual needs; Freedom Wheels customised Bike Service; and Provision of specialised technical advice to clients. Are you a leader with a passion for innovation and collaboration? We are seeking a Production Coordinator – Equipment Solutions to oversee the design, development, and delivery of Equipment Solutions. This critical role involves managing technical aspects, volunteer teams, and operational processes across NSW and Victoria.
About the Role:
As the Production Coordinator – Equipment Solutions, you will:
Oversee the technical components of custom and adaptable equipment projects. Collaborate with volunteers, industrial designers, and stakeholders to ensure project success. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of equipment projects, from intake to final delivery. Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives. Maintain workshop operations, ensuring safety compliance and equipment readiness. Support product innovation and identify new market opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate new project referrals, define objectives, and allocate tasks to volunteers. Supervise design and build phases, ensuring quality and adherence to accessibility guidelines. Manage stock, machinery, and workshop operations, including WHS compliance. Provide leadership and support to volunteers, fostering a positive and engaged team culture. Collaborate on product testing, market research, and the development of assistive technologies. About You: Proven experience in technical project management or production coordination. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and inspire volunteers. Knowledge of WHS regulations and workshop safety protocols. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to innovation and quality.
