The product range includes specialised underground support vehicles and surface mining solutions, including extended-distance off-highway haulage trucks and water tanks to suit Caterpillar articulated trucks.
The Elphinstone range of underground support vehicles includes agitators, scissor lifts, delivery trucks, flat decks, fuel and lube trucks, water cannons, water tanks, motor graders, and other specialised support equipment.
Elphinstone is seeking to employ a CNC Machinist / Programmer to program and operate CNC milling machines in line with technical models and drawings, to match our customer & quality standards working at our Wynyard Tasmania, Australia site.
About the Role We currently have a role available within our Defence manufacturing department based at our Wynyard, Tasmania site.
The role is a hands-on operations role and will report to our Manufacturing Lead.
Key tasks will include: Offline programming CNC machinesMachine setup and operationAdjust machine tool paths and settings to optimize production while maintaining qualityRead and interpret drawings and technical informationLead the machinist teamAbout You We are looking for an individual who can work to timeframes efficiently and safely and take pride in their work.
