About the Role Reporting to the Supervisor Trainer, this role is responsible for contributing to the training and assessment of operational roles in Rail Maintenance teams.
This is a permanent position on a flexible day shift only roster, FIFO from Perth.
Your key deliverables include, but are not limited to: Working with Execution leaders, particularly Supervisors, to help build the required capability within their teams; Conduct routine operations and safety activities to effectively prepare for and manage operational workload; Design and deliver training plans, train and assess operators and improve training programs to maintain safety, compliance and performance during Rail maintenance operations; Carrying out performance verifications against relevant standards at the frontline including coaching others in assessment and verification processes; Continuous monitoring of Maintenance crews' performance and initiating the necessary input or support to ensure Operational Standards are achieved and maintained through the training programmes; Know our customer and strive to meet their needs; Prioritise to achieving 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
About You The successful candidate will have experience with influencing and empowering others to achieve higher performance.

Additionally, you will have: High risk qualifications: High Risk Work License (HRWL), (highly desirable); A background in Rail (operation or maintenance) will be highly regarded; A background in civil or heavy industry will be highly regarded; BHP Inducted will be highly regarded; Current C Class Driver's License (essential); Current HR Driver's License (desirable); Very good organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team; Good experience and skills in the use of technology in managing work processes, data capture and compliance reporting; Working knowledge of Learning Management principles; Experience with and understanding of Verification of Competency (VOC) in the workplace (ideal); Exposure to the BHP Operating System (BOS) would be advantageous.
