ABOUT PERTH OFFICE South32's corporate office is based in the heart of Perth's CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

As a Specialist in Technical Marketing, you'll help protect and enhance South32 Marketing's standing as a supplier of choice by providing technical marketing guidance to our stakeholders in marketing, the functions, and operations. You will actively contribute to maintaining an inclusive and effective team with a culture of sharing and interest in 'connecting the dots' across South32.
Reporting to the Group Manager Technical Marketing, other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Lead transformative quality assurance improvements across our operations and supply chains, supporting our placement strategy and informing short- and long-term planning at our operations.Assist in coordinating the safe loading, shipping and use of our commodities - manganese, nickel, lead, zinc, alumina and aluminium.Foster meaningful partnerships across our business by participating in multi-commodity working groups, where your insights will help weave together functional excellence with continuous improvement initiatives.ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
Excel in professional communication through your strong English fluency, connecting effectively with stakeholders while building meaningful relationships at every level of the organisation.Navigate our digital landscape confidently, combining your proficiency in data analytics and Microsoft Office with a keen eye for detail in managing quality controls and commercial documentation.Leverage your understanding of commodity markets and shipping dynamics, enriched by 2-5 years of experience in marketing, heavy industrial operations, or related fields.Demonstrate your natural leadership as a self-starter who thrives on organising priorities and managing time effectively while maintaining a clear vision of Marketing's strategic direction.Share your talent for economic analysis and evaluation, using these skills to influence decisions and drive positive outcomes across the business.Excel in cross-functional collaboration, combining your commercial acumen with strong interpersonal skills to build consensus and drive results across all organisational levels.Qualifications for this position are: Tertiary Qualifications or demonstrated experience in relevant disciplines - i.e. Business, Supply Chain, Mining, Metallurgy, Engineering, Chemistry, or related.
