The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include technical sales specialists and technical solutions architects. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. This position specifically is part of the ANZ Core services team, in a Technical sales role that helps customers adopt AWS' technologies with a focus on Amazon's Accelerated Computing portfolio (i.e. HPC, AIML, big data), among others. You will:
Drive the sales cycles to closure in a direct and overlay sales role.Work with the most promising customers and partners.Scale tech knowledge via products, programs, and the AWS Field.Gather critical regional feedback to inform our product roadmaps.Key job responsibilities: Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as with developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.Become a trusted business advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.Develop and deploy GTM programs that leverage AWS Field teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.Collaborate with AWS Product, GTM and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.Own the strategy and execution for Accelerated Compute sales in ANZ, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.A day in the life Diverse Experiences: Amazon values diverse experiences. About the team AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The Accelerated Compute ANZ Specialist sales role is paired with a Specialist Solutions Architect within the ANZ Core systems team.
