Render key sourcing supporting to our aluminium businessPermanent OpportunityFlexibility work schedule can be discussedBased in Bell Bay, Tasmania (Where our smelter is!)About The RoleWe are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to deliver commercial strategies and sourcing projects for Rio Tinto Aluminium (RTA) Pacific Operations. This role will work closely with key project stakeholders in Bell Bay, Tasmania and our Aluminium business on the east coast of Australia as well as broad exposure to stakeholders in Rio Tinto Procurement and corporate functions.
This is an exciting, permanent opportunity within a flexible workplace environment with the option to work a 9-day fortnight.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Sourcing Specialist you will work collaboratively with the Bell Bay team providing support with the contracts, procurement and supply chain processes, through to contract execution, delivery and close out. In this role you will:
Provide leadership and guidance to a Sourcing Analyst.Perform all activities complying with Contracts & Procurement policies and procedures and ensuring appropriate governance for procurement and contracting activities.Develop and execute commercial strategies, tender packages and recommendations to award.Actively engage stakeholders, both internal and external, to successfully deliver your procurement portfolio.Ensure all projects are successfully delivered using the Ariba platform and meeting Rio Tinto's compliance requirements.Collaborate with the Contractor Management team to ensure new suppliers have a good experience post contract award.Work in a dynamic environment to build a high level of trust through open and transparent relationships and engagements.Work closely with project leads, engineers, construction teams and other project delivery professionals in order to deliver the procurement portfolio.Identify and implement continuous improvements through development of policies, procedures and best practices, sourcing opportunities and value add activities.What You'll BringProblem Solving: With your knowledge and experience in procurement processes and procedures, you'll be equipped to solve problems using defined procedures and solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders: You'll demonstrate the capacity to work with moderate guidance and direction while possessing strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
