About the Role Broadmeadow is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people, 34 kilometres north of Moranbah.
It is a longwall underground coal operation.
There is currently an exciting opportunity available for a Specialist Site Systems to join the team.
Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems and working a Monday to Friday roster, you will be responsible for the coordination and governance of the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS), material risk compliance, mine records, management structure and associated information systems.
Key responsibilities include: Identify and lead initiatives to bridge any identified gaps, facilitate change and embed new systems to support the continuous improvement of the SHMS.
Provide technical support, coaching and governance of the SHMS, risk management, legislative and compliance framework.
Develop strong working relationships and support site leaders to ensure in-field adherence to new and existing safety systems.
Lead and participate in internal and external audits.
Document management and record keeping.
About You Relevant qualification in Safety, Risk, Law or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
Experience with Safety and Health Management Systems, 1 SAP and Flex would be advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem solving, decision making and influencing skills.
Ability to collaborate and build positive working relationships in a fast-paced environment.
