About this part of our organisation: Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities. Additionally we have operations across Asia, North and South American continents and Europe. Brisbane is home to our corporate office which is where this role is based.
About your new position: The Specialist – Service Now System plays a pivotal role in shaping the long-term direction of the ServiceNow platform in collaboration with IS&T leadership across Glencore Zinc Assets.
In this role you will: Be responsible for the development and maintenance of a comprehensive platform roadmap that aligns with business goals and technology trends. Drive innovation, long-term strategic vision and platform continuous improvement, ensuring Glencore Zinc Assets remains at the forefront of ServiceNow capabilities and industry trends. Establish and embed an optimal Operating Model for the ServiceNow platform and associated teams. Prioritise and manage the ServiceNow development in alignment with strategic business priorities, including ideation reviews and user story prioritisation. Have ownership of the backlog, which includes managing and prioritising the list of work items, features, and bug fixes to be completed on each Sprint by the development team. Leverage vendor relationships for innovation and value. Drive cost efficiencies, tracking improvement initiatives to report to management. Assist tracking and managing contracts and licenses compliance, working together with Procurement to minimise risks and support operational efficiency. Monitor overall platform health, including performance, security, and user satisfaction, and report key metrics to management. Apply strong Security and Compliance governance skills with emphasis on platform security, understanding changes in regulations and driving compliance. Establish and enforce policies for platform usage and security. Be a change advocate, lead the evolving nature of ServiceNow and IT, managing changes both from a technical and process perspective, driving change adoption across Glencore Zinc Assets. The requirements for this position are: Minimum 5 years' experience in platform management roles, with a track record of successfully managing digital platforms in enterprise environments, including ServiceNow. Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field and possession of any ServiceNow certifications will be highly regarded. Extensive knowledge and experience with the ServiceNow platform, including experience in a leadership role directly involving ServiceNow Strategy and Road mapping. Experience in team leadership, demonstrating effective management and mentorship capabilities. Demonstrated experience in agile methodologies, with a preference for Scrum. Agile-related certifications are also highly valued. Experience in ServiceNow consultancy and/or solution design. Experience in vendor management. Previous ServiceNow development experience would be an advantage. What's in it for you?
