Specialist/Senior Specialist

Clinical services for a fixed term period of up to 5 years include high quality inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and retrieval services in paediatrics. Advice on paediatric services is provided to the Head of Paediatrics. Participation in quality management activities, performance appraisal, and continuing education programs is required. Supervision of teaching for students, junior doctors, and nursing staff is also involved. Research and participation in hospital committees are expected. A full-time Specialist/Senior Specialist Paediatrician position is available at a Northern Territory hospital. The hospital provides a range of services, including emergency care, surgery, and specialist medical services. It supports remote and indigenous communities with modern facilities and a focus on culturally sensitive care. The location offers breathtaking desert landscapes, rich Aboriginal culture, and outdoor adventures.
The following criteria are essential:
• General and/or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Specialist qualifications (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent).
• Ability to work in a team and assume administrative responsibilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
The package includes a salary of $207,165 - $253,495 (Specialist) or $262,168 - $290,005 (Senior Specialist), and additional benefits such as a relocation package, professional development allowance, and opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
