About The Role Thiess is seeking an Asset Governance Senior Specialist to join our Asset Operations Support team based in our Head Office in South Bank, Brisbane. As our Senior Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in upholding strong governance across all Thiess operations. You will be responsible for driving best practices and ensuring the consistent application of maintenance policies, standards, procedures, and systems. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, site-based maintenance personnel, and key external stakeholders to drive operational maintenance solutions and achieve operational excellence. Additionally, you will: Provide Governance for Thiess Asset Operations ensuring the consistent application of Thiess maintenance Policies, Standards, Procedures and Systems Execute Project Reviews, Asset Operations Reviews, Thiess Safety Essentials and Fire Prevention Audits and assist with the development of action plans to achieve compliance Take a key role in developing responses to Regulators in matters related to maintenance risk managementSupport projects with the interpretation and application of standards, legislation and statutory requirementsProvide comprehensive support to projects with the interpretation and application of standards, legislation and statutory requirementsFacilitate and review outcomes of all audits relating to Asset Maintenance and ensure that improvement opportunities identified are replicated across Thiess operations About You You will maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Maintaining a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will contribute significantly to the overall success of Thiess Asset Operations, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Additionally you have: 5+ Experience in mining maintenance operations on a mine site Experience in maintenance HSE risk management activities for heavy mobile mining equipment Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and influence outcomesTrade Certificate / Engineering Degree or equivalentExperience in statutory engineering and technical governance (preferred) Please note that this role will be a full-time, permanent position and applications will close at midnight on Wednesday 24th April 2024.
