The role & responsibilities:
As a Specialist Sales Representative - Ophthalmology, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, building relationships, and promoting innovative ophthalmic products to ophthalmologists, optometrists, and orthoptists. Your primary objective will be to achieve and exceed sales targets by delivering value-driven solutions that support patient outcomes and align with our company's mission. The promoted products will include PBS-reimbursed prescription products across a diverse ophthalmology portfolio.
This is a 12 month FTC position with the view to commence in January 2025.
Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and orthoptists in your assigned territory.Present and detail ophthalmic products effectively to healthcare professionals, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge and clinical benefits.Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve territory sales objectives.Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities to expand market presence.Provide educational support and training to healthcare providers, ensuring optimal product understanding and utilisation.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and clinical advancements within the ophthalmology field.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and medical affairs, to align strategies and share market insights.Maintain compliance with Medicines Australia guidelines and internal company policies.Accurately document and report sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback.Skills & Experience: Completion of Medicines Australia certification.A life sciences or equivalent tertiary degree.A minimum of 3 years' experience as a medical sales representative.Previous experience in ophthalmology sales or related medical fields.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.Benefits & perks:
