0.6 FTE permanent Staff Specialist position in Anatomical Pathology at the Royal Hobart Hospital (public laboratory).

One of our senior pathologists is reducing their hours in a transition to retirement, and we are looking for a pathologist to join our team.
We report a wide range of interesting histology and cytology cases as the largest public hospital in the state.
We are a small but supportive laboratory with 7 pathologists and 5 registrars.
Our registrars perform the cut-up duties, and our pathologists are allocated 16 histology cases a day (including one large/complex case) with a reduced histology load when reporting cytology or frozen sections.
We have a daily multiheader review session to share and collaborate on cases.
Our pathologists work closely with the hospital clinicians through MDTs, teaching sessions, and cytology procedures (ROSE assessments).
