Job Responsibilities:

Support and co-ordinate the formation, negotiation, and execution of contracts with universities, funding organisations, industry partners, government departments, health networks, research institutes, and other relevant stakeholders. Review, edit, and negotiate a range of competitive and commercial research agreements ensuring compliance with University policies, processes, and requirements. Coordinate research funding contract management, including drafting variations, novation, data collection, reporting of activities, and compliance monitoring. Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding, awarding, and collaborating bodies. Prepare recommendations on risk management and compliance regarding Deakin's policies, procedures, and requirements. Coordinate the flow of contracts from initiation to execution, tracking their progress and ensuring timelines are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications in Law or Business or progress towards these qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial principles relating to contracts including risk analysis and project costing. Established track record in providing strategic advice on contracts to researchers. Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
