NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are after a Specialist Project Manager ( Mobile Equipment Projects) to join their Perth Based team in an ongoing contract role The Role: Perth based role Monday to Friday 8 hours per day You will be responsible for managing approved mobile equipment replacement and growth projects in accordance with the Operation's Modifications & Small Projects portfolio and relevant processes, standards and performance targets for HSEC and Cost. This includes: Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of Cost, Schedule and Progress on engineering projects Be responsible for the monthly update and reporting to collate and process accurate and timely accrual, forecast and status information on all Engineering projects Be responsible for the interrogation and verification of data within the SAP and Planview systems. Duties and responsibilities will include: Provide input into the Mobile Equipment Projects portfolio and related budgets, plans and schedules. Where required, support feasibility studies, cost-benefits analyses, impact assessments and project business cases to obtain project approvals. Project manage the allocated approved Mobile Equipment Projects to the defined scope, budget, schedule, standards, and specifications and in accordance with relevant processes and standards for the Asset / Operation Ensure that allocated Mobile Equipment projects are executed in compliance to Group /CSG /Asset level requirements and relevant internal and external standards. Manage the handover to the Mobile Equipment Project delivery team and ensure all relevant change control documentation has been updated to as-built status and provided to the Standards & Change Control sub-function. Ensure relevant 1SAP Master Data Changes are initiated and operating procedures are updated where required. General - Provide project controls support with a focus on achieving cost KPIs by monitoring project spend and cash flow forecasting. Track and report productivity and potential scope changes. Identify project issues that impact planned progress and productivity. Monthly Forecasting and Reporting – Review the accuracy and completeness of forecast and project status information on all projects managed. Consult with Project Coordinators to ensure forecast cash flows reflect realistic spend profiles. Run forecast compliance reports and follow-up non-compliances. The Requirements: Tertiary/relevant qualification in Engineering or Finance Technical: Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in executing Engineering Modifications & Small Projects preferably in relation to Mobile Equipment Requires detailed knowledge of procedures related to the execution of engineering projects (including working in a project controls environment, ideally in an engineering and mining environment). Demonstrated skills and experience in data analysis and investigation. Leadership: Worked in a team and supported/guided peers and less experienced team members. Made a contribution by using his/her expertise in practical judgement to ensure optimum quality, safety and project delivery.
