About the role The Specialist – Procurement provides specialist support in the development and execution of the procurement strategy ensuring that all purchases follow the policies and standard procurement process including proper use of supporting systems (SAP)and provides subject matter expertise on procurement matters.
What you will be doing Key Accountabilities Analyses data and engage stakeholders (internal and external) to quantify and validate opportunities and risks Conducts analysis of spend to understand business trends and opportunities to improve procurement effectiveness and efficiency Prepares material to workshop strategies and plans Tracks and progresses against the strategic category plans and procurement targets Validates findings and recommendations Supports leadership team to develop executive papers , write contracts & stakeholder business cases for strategic initiatives Conducts regular opportunity assessments to define new procurement strategies Assists in develop of work plans to implement agreed strategies Assists Supplier Performance Management Leads specific projects across the procurement team What you will bring BAND F PEOPLE LEADER * Minimum 7 years experience post qualification.
* Experience leading a team, including building a collaborative approach.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.
* Ability to plan, influence & execute.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
BAND F TECHNICAL SPECIALIST  * Minimum 3 to 6 years experience post qualification.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.
* Ability to plan, influence & execute.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
Role dependent - technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g.
SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)
