Golding is currently seeking a Specialist Plant Advisor (Tyres) to support our various mining operations located primarily in Queensland. The primary focus of this role is to provide expertise and guidance in the management, selection, maintenance and performance optimisation of tyres to ensure safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
The successful candidate will have a hands on and can do approach as well as proven on site mobile maintenance experience in a mining environment.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday. The role can be based either in Mackay or Brisbane. Regular travel to sites will be required for role success.
Attend Golding Projects regularly and observe tyre related operations and activities to optimise tyre performance and lifespan;Recommend appropriate tyre selection based on plant requirements, load capacities, and operating conditions that are better suited to operational requirements of the site;Engage and collaborate with Tyre Supplier technical specialists to ensure quality, cost-effective solutions for tyre management and to improve project tyre performance;Monitor and assist projects with non routine activities (weight survey's, alternative tyre trials, TPMS deployment);Provide feedback to the project on improvements to operation and maintenance activities;Recommend changes to Golding processes to improve tyre performance or enhance compliance;Prepare tyre life estimates for tender submissions;Prepare project tyre forecast reports for review and consolidation by the Plant Manager;Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to tyre management.Key capability requirements: Mechanical Engineering and or Diesel Fitting trade are essential;Experience in a mining environment working with heavy mobile equipment;Demonstrated Tyre Management System experience is desirable along with experience in Microsoft Office;Sound social process skills and the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships;Demonstrated strong drive, energy and work efficiency.Please apply online below Golding is an equal opportunity employer.
