Job Title: Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG) Position Type: Full-time
Location: 2h drive to Melbourne CBD

As a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG), you will play a pivotal role in Senior Medical Team, contributing to mission of providing outstanding patient care and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated FRANZCOG with passion to delivering high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care, supervising and mentoring junior medical staff.
Key Responsibilities: Provide evidence-based, best practice clinical services to achieve optimal patient outcomes in obstetrics and gynaecology. Supervise, train, and develop junior Hospital Medical Officers and other relevant staff to ensure safe and effective clinical practice. Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services, maintaining high standards of care and adherence to our values. Report directly to the Clinical Director of Women's Health and indirectly to the Chief Medical Officer. Liaise with other specialists and general practitioners to optimize patient care and enhance service delivery. Actively participate in risk management and quality programs, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations. Support training and education across multiple disciplines to promote quality and safety in clinical practice. Maintain a safe, efficient, and well-respected Women's Health Service. Qualifications & Requirements: Fellowship of the relevant college (FRANZCOG) or equivalent specialist pathways, with eligibility for full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Mandatory qualifications include: Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP): Level 3 full course Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation (ANR) Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training (PROMPT) Advanced Life Support 2 (ALS2) full Demonstrated understanding and commitment to risk management, clinical governance, and safety. Proven ability to deliver safe, high-quality customer service, with a focus on workplace equity and injury prevention.
