Professional 2 (Remuneration Package $106,109 - $126,196) Katherine Several vacancies are available, either ongoing or fixed for 18 months.
Selection will be made at the P2 or N4 level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant.
Katherine Mental Health & Alcohol and Other Drugs Service are looking for a Specialist Mental Health Worker, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join our small community Mental Health Team based in Katherine.
The role will engage in the provision of mental health/AOD triage assessment, treatment and referral of clients in the Katherine Hospital Emergency Department primarily in an after-hours capacity.

Most people in the region outside of Katherine reside either in small remote communities, or on cattle stations.
There is a large proportion of Indigenous patients, with Katherine town being at the junction of the Jawoyn, Wardaman, and Dagoman groups.
There is opportunity to be able to make a huge difference to healthcare outcomes for patients in rural and remote areas.
Our patients have a high burden of chronic disease with complex comorbidities, and this makes for challenging and rewarding medicine.
