Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Nepali Curry Chef to join our Grampian Hotel and Shimla Dining.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to food safety.
As a Chef, you will play a vital role in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
This position requires leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Create innovative dishes that enhance the culinary offerings of the establishment. Requirements Proven experience as a Nepali Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry for at least three years. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills to liaise with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. A commitment to delivering high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations.
