Goonyella Riverside Mine is seeking an experienced Specialist in Mine Scheduling.
About the RoleReporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will be responsible for developing pit strategies within the 5-year plan and beyond, generating schedules which enable the strategies to support the Short-Range Forecast and Budgeting processes, and supporting the broader Mine Planning Team in bringing these strategies to fruition. This role is critical in guiding the success of one of the operations in Australia. This is role is offered on either an 8/6 or 4/3 work pattern with FIFO/DIDO or residential living arrangement to suit your lifestyle. Work-life balance is an important element in the Goonyella Planning team, which focuses on work completed rather than hours worked. About YouAs the successful candidate, you will preferably have a tertiary education background in Mining Engineering (or similar) with a minimum of 4+ years experience working in open cut mining operations within mine planning teams. As well as your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have demonstrated ability to build relationships across departments and able to communicate at all levels. A strong working knowledge of design tools (Deswik/Vulcan), SPRY, Microsoft Office, Xact software packages are desirable. You will also be a performance and achievement-oriented professional, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and providing excellent results.
