The Specialist Melanoma Nurse is an advanced practice nursing role that incorporates high level clinical service, clinical leadership, research, education and clinical services planning and management to optimise patient outcomes.The Specialist Melanoma Nurse will be expected to work predominantly within the treatment settings for advanced and high-risk melanoma.The Specialist Melanoma Nurse will work closely with the Medical and Surgical Oncologists as a key part of the treatment team.Specialist Melanoma Nurses will sub-specialise within the areas of surgical and medical oncology nursing.Skills, Experience & Knowledge: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA and a minimum of 5 years post registrationExperience with a minimum of 3 years full time equivalent experience in the field of Medical Oncology, Melanoma or Surgical Nursing.Demonstrated clinical leadership skills with ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skillsDemonstrated understanding of the process of Quality Improvement and its importance to clinical practice Commitment to education and professional development with demonstrated teaching skillsDemonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and commitment to excellence in nursing practice and research.Post-graduate nursing qualification in Medical Oncology, Melanoma, Surgical Oncology, or other as deemed appropriate by the organisationCertificate IV in Training and Assessment.Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $61.21 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
