Specialist Medical Practitioner - Psychiatrist (526424)Australia, TasAbout the Tasmanian State ServiceThe Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.The role:As part of a multidisciplinary mental health service delivering high quality mental health care, the Psychiatrist:Provides comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric services in Tasmania.Acts as a consultant to mental health professionals and health service providers regarding the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders.Undertakes supervisory responsibilities with Registrars/Career Medical Officers, Resident Medical Officers and other medical staff as required/appropriate.Details of AppointmentPermanent full time, day worker position (with on-call) working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.Salary: $210,000 - $301,349 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment.
