Specialist Medical Practitioner - Psychiatrist (526424) The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Staff Specialist – Psychiatrist vacancies for Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS), Adult Mental Health Services – South.

Flexible work/life balance A multi-disciplinary work environment Professional Development The role: As part of a multidisciplinary mental health service delivering high quality mental health care and in accordance with Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, the Psychiatrist:
Provides comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric services in Tasmania. Acts as a consultant to mental health professionals and health service providers, including general practitioners and other agencies, regarding the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders. Undertakes supervisory responsibilities with Registrars/Career Medical Officers, Resident Medical Officers and other medical staff as required/appropriate. Details of Appointment: Permanent full time, day worker position (with on-call) working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Salary: $210,000 - $301,349 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
