We provide a comprehensive suite of mental health services in adult, alcohol and drug, forensic, older persons, child and youth and correctional primary.Available roles for Staff Specialist – Psychiatrists in SMHS Adult Mental Health Service South, include the provision of services in:Community-based Mental Health Services, including the Acute Care Stream (ACS), the Continuing Care Stream (CCS), Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHiTH) and a community inpatient facility (Peacock House).The acute general adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIU) at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).The general adult Consultation-Liaison (CL) psychiatric service in the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) and other RHH areas, including the Emergency Department (ED) and the Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU).Rehabilitation and extended care facilities: Millbrook Rise Centre (MRC) a 27 beds inpatient facility at New Norfolk and Tolosa Street Centre, which has 6 rehabilitation beds in the community.Step-up and step-down facilities in the community.Details of Appointment:Permanent, full-time, day worker (with on-call) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.Essential Criteria:Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).Note: Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
