The role:As part of a multidisciplinary mental health service, the Psychiatrist:
Provides a comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric service within the allocated service/site/facility.Acts as a consultant to mental health professionals and health service providers, including general practitioners and other agencies.Undertakes supervisory responsibilities with Psychiatric Registrars and other medical staff as required/appropriate.Details of Appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Note: Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable).Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role. Desirable Criteria: Recognition as a Psychiatrist by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).Current Driver's Licence.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job must satisfy a pre-employment check.
