The Opportunity - Permanent, Full Time Position This role of
Specialist Financial Analysis
will see you provide support to the Principal Analysts in the team, to ensure high quality analysis and benchmarking on key business drivers and the budgeting and forecasting process. You will also assist in managing the budgeting and forecasting system, which includes system support, improvement opportunities, and scenario analysis.
Key Accountabilities• Review and analysis of revenue performance, cost performance, capital performance and production metrics for selected operations • Execution and verification of forecast activities for selected operations • Assistance with the budgeting and forecasting system • Generate financial data&analysis to support the Principal Marketing Business Partner• Assistance with the budget preparation and with half-year and year-end reporting • Prepare and maintain various reports on key business metrics About You • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Resource Industry • Distinctive proficiency in financial analysis and business analysis• Exposure to broad management reporting • Ability to interact positively with a range of stakeholders in formal and informal settings with a strategy to achieve long term goals for South32 • Proficient system knowledge, which includes SAP, BI and TM1 • Competent in data manipulation andfinancial modelling in MS Excel• Analytical and accurate, with an inquisitive mindset to critically evaluate information and numbers Location This role will be based at our office in the heart of theCBD.
