Specialist (LOTE) Teacher Part-time 2025
The Specialist (LOTE) teaching position is initially one year to replace our previous Indonesian language teacher who will become our new Class 1 teacher. The school is seeking applications from teachers with Indonesian and/or other languages. The role is part-time teaching of all the Primary classes (1 to 6), twice a week, 12 lessons, across 3 days.
Tamar Valley Steiner School is an independent, non-denominational school in the northern Tasmanian city of Launceston. The school opened in 2016 and continues to experienced steady growth and is now a K-6 primary school with over 100 students.
The curriculum delivered at the school is based on the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework. This is recognised by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) as an alternative to the Australian National Curriculum. Our program includes regular Bush school, LOTE, Eurythmy, gardening, art, craft and music. Our commitment to environmental sustainability is nurtured by a supportive school community.
