Reporting to the Principal Innovation & Cloud, you will be responsible for driving the success of the company's digital innovation and transformation
strategy, with a focus on improving efficiency and service levels through collaboration with operational and functional stakeholders.
You will lead strategic digital initiatives, including proof-of-concepts, and ensure that business value is delivered in a timely and value-oriented agile manner. Additionally, you will play a key role in the operations and management of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Duties: Manage the setup, operation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintenance of various Microsoft Azure cloud services. Lead the creation of secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions, offering expert insights on architecture and design. Streamline continuous integration and continuous delivery processes by implementing automation and orchestration tools to reduce manual tasks. Support cloud-based projects, including on-site migrations, integration and data platforms, container technology, and web applications. Handle the monitoring, capacity planning, and configuration of Azure environments, focusing on optimizing performance and managing costs. Proactively address issues, maintaining accountability and minimizing the impact on services. Provide clients with tailored advice on cloud DevOps principles and practices to enhance their cloud strategy. Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, ARM, and Bicep to automate cloud infrastructure deployment. Develop and review scripts in infrastructure languages like Python, PowerShell, and Bash, ensuring automation and quality standards are met. Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure within an enterprise setting. A degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, IT) or equivalent industry experience. Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure. Proficiency in configuring, operating, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure cloud services. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines). Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM,Bicep). Ability to provide expert advice on cloud strategies to internal and external clients. A history of proactive problem-solving and issue resolution in cloud services. Experience in leading digital initiatives, with a background in the mining industry considered a significant plus. Understanding of hybrid cloud scenarios and connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
