The Customer & Digital Services team is accountable for coordinating Stakeholder/Customer engagement and communications for the Digital Division and providing management, governance, and assurance across operational Digital services.
Capabilities include service design and experience; service transition; service operations, customer services; communications and engagement; risk, audit, and compliance; service lifecycle and continuity; continuous improvement and executive support services.
What you will be doing The Event and Monitoring Specialist will operate within a multi-year Digital systems enhancement program of work, working with the program leads and alongside colleagues in the Customer and Digital Services Service Operations team, to ensure that all IT operational (infrastructure, application, security, services) are functioning efficiently and effectively.
Tracking performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with Standards, Regulations, Policy's & Processes.
You will also be responsible for: Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large, complex initiatives.
Selects, adopts, and adapts appropriate requirements definition and management methods, tools, and techniques.
Contributes to the development of organisational methods and standards for requirements management.
Obtains input from, and agreement to requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.
Negotiating with stakeholders to manage competing priorities and conflicts.
Establishing requirements baselines.
Ensures changes to requirements are investigated and managed.
Works collaboratively to implement solutions seeking inputs as required to ensure desired outcomes are achieved, coaching others in their role and responsibilities as technical owners.
What you will bring to the role To be considered for this role you will have demonstrable experience in hands on asset and configuration management.
You will also need the following: MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN Min 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Must be willing to obtain NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
Bachelor in IT or Business ITIL Foundation ITIL Intermediate Certification (Preferred) Hands on experience in configuration, maintenance, and tuning of enterprise monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, EMC Ionix/Smarts suite etc.
Correlation and event management, monitoring experience Demonstrated experience "hands on" with tools and technologies in a complex environment.
Ability to work with business stakeholders and technologists.
Understanding of Observability principles Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM suite to help drive Event aggregation and correlation to the service mapping.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM suite to help drive Event aggregation and correlation to the service mapping.
Overview and experience with Microsoft SCCM/SCOM, CA Spectrum, and proficiency in the use of excel, presentations, modelling (Visio).
To be able to take a process centric and results driven approach.
Strong all-round knowledge across both Applications and Infrastructure, including solid UNIX, Windows server, storage, and networking skills.
Thorough knowledge of integration of ITIL processes especially Event Management process to Incident, Problem, Availability and Capacity Management.
Strong knowledge of Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow, or BMC Remedy etc and work experience integrating with CMDB on one of these platforms.
Thorough knowledge of automated discovery, dynamic service mapping across the hybrid cloud.
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective negotiation skills, driving change across all levels of the business and different stakeholders.
Previous experience in the areas of reporting and analysis across the Asset and Configuration Management processes.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
