A real endeavour, shaped by you As a Communications Network Engineer , you'll be responsible for refining, configuring, and supporting advanced network systems to enhance operational performance and security.
This role involves working with leading-edge technologies to deliver highly reliable and secure communications.
To succeed in this endeavour, you will: Support workshops to develop and refine network system requirements.
Identify hardware and solutions.
Design, configure, and deploy network systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Configure security gateways for enhanced protection.
Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate installation, integration, and ongoing support of network systems.
Provide ongoing technical support to ensure system integrity and resilience.
A real endeavour, driven by you Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role: In-depth understanding and experience of switching mechanisms, routing protocols, transmission protocols, routing, and troubleshooting of networks.
Good understanding of virtualisation, SDN, Linux OS and desirably exposure to open source technologies.
Possess a basic understanding of Layer-3 packet encryption, load balancing, network aggregation and network security.
Ability to undertake and document network designs, lead project design reviews, engineering assessments and investigations of complex networks.
Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).
Radius AAA experience.
You must have the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
