The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing technical expertise, support, and solutions for our grid technologies projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability, and efficiency.Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of power transmission systems and solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and customers, the sales and tendering team to deliver successful power transmission projects.Conduct detailed technical analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for Grid Solutions projects.Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.Support the commissioning and testing of power transmission equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to power transmission systems, providing timely and effective solutions.Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Grid Technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our solutions and services.Provide technical training and support to internal teams and customers, enhancing their understanding and capabilities in power transmission.Participate in technical discussions, presentations, and meetings with customers, stakeholders, and industry partners.Support the tendering and sales team in preparation of calculations, tendering and sales documents and take part in customer meetings and negotiations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in power transmission engineering, with a strong focus on technical expertise and project delivery.In-depth knowledge of power transmission systems, including high voltage (HVDC), flexible AC transmission solutions (FACTS), STATCOMs, Synchronous Condensers, Power Flow Controllers, substations, transformers, and related equipment.Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for power transmission design, analysis, and simulation.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Professional engineering certification or licensure is highly desirable.Full rights to work and live in Australia.Valid Australian driving license and willingness to travel locally and internationally as required for the business.
