About The Role
The role of the Specialist Employment Mentor will focus on supporting Ex-Offender or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander customers by providing intensive mentoring to ensure their transition into employment is successful and sustained.
This role is being offered on a full time, ongoing basis and will work across Coburg, Cheltenham, Fitzroy, Box Hill, Prahran sites.
You'll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week.

About You
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate:
Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to type (minimum 30 words per minute);Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse range of clients, employers and staff;High level of interpersonal skills with an ability to represent Workskil Australia to our customers, funding bodies ,employers, RTOs, Indigenous Communities and other stakeholders;Sound knowledge of the local labour market;An understanding of case management framework;Sales and customer service experience;Extensive working knowledge of federally funded Employment Programs and funding models;Experience mentoring Indigenous customers in employment;Experience in working with ex-offenders in an employment or rehabilitation setting;Proven ability to work in an outcome based, high pressure environment, positively and with enthusiasm;Have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development; andHold a current driver's licence and have own vehicle with the willingness to travel across the region.

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
