Reporting to the Superintendent – Social Performance, the Specialist – Community Engagement will work within the Cadia Social Performance Management Plan to undertake timely, proactive and thorough community consultation regarding project approvals, general operations, and environmental projects with the objective of ensuring the community has a voice within the business, supported by the smooth delivery of business projects.With your excellent communication and presentation skills you will develop and implement a thorough and targeted community engagement program to address direct social performance, environment and business risks. Key responsibilities include: Ensure all activities are carried out consistent with Cadia's Safety Management System and the Cadia Social Performance Management Plan.Develop and implement programs to address social performance, environment and business risks and ease stakeholder concerns regarding direct (environment based) impacts.Lead the community engagement program focussing on upcoming projects and other business critical activities.Contribute to all community and stakeholder communications to support community engagement activities.Develop work plans, budgets, procedures, presentations and performance reports to support the site's social licence to operate. Complete miscellaneous assigned environmental and community projects within time, cost and quality parameters.Contribute to the effective collection and/or distribution of information through the site's stakeholder database, and other communication tools (such as the website). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in community engagement regarding environmental matters, communicating with a diverse range of rural stakeholders, organising and running meetings, and developing targeted written communications for a range of stakeholders needs. You will also possess the following: Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, community engagement, social performance, community psychology or a related field is preferred, however not essential.
