Due to continued business growth and upcoming opportunities Golding is currently seeking a Specialist Commercial Advisor to be based on site for current civil works in Queensland. Reporting to the Civil Project Manager, the successful candidate will provide efficient service and support in the implementation of the project's commercial and contractual requirements. This role would ideally suit a Civil Engineer with technical skills in bridges and road construction with a passion for commercial and contractual work.
This is a Monday to Friday role. Site uplifts will apply when based on project sites.
Lead the contract and site administration team to achieve safe, efficient and cost-effective outcomes including transparency and accuracy of cost performance;Implement, administer and monitor the authorised Golding system for managing suppliers/subcontractors that provide services to the project;Provide contractual and commercial advice supporting the Project Manager relating to Golding's contractual scope of work;Identify divergence from contract scope and resolve interpretation issues with the Client or escalate unresolved issues to your Manager;Be responsible for the preparation, submission, and finalisation of Payment Claims, Scope Changes, and internal and external commercial reporting requirements;Work with the Client to resolve conflicting demands for Golding resources stemming from their action; andContribute to regular reporting for management reviews on all commercial activities.Key capability requirements: Tertiary qualifications in finance or engineering are highly preferred;Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract management and procurement processes;Demonstrated strong commercial skills;Demonstrated ability to solve multiple complex matters simultaneously;Experience in civil project construction environments in Australia is preferred;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders and clients.Please apply online below.
