Develop and deliver an adapted family violence intervention program for people serving short sentences and intensive case management to people on remand for family violence offences within Tasmania Prison Service.
The Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has an exciting opportunity for the right person, to be involved in the innovationand implementation of cutting-edge intervention strategies not currently offered by the TPS.This role is newly funded to support the Tasmania Prison Service fill the gap in family interventions for people on remand or serving short sentences for family violence offences.

Details of Appointment Fixed-term for a period of three years, six months from the date of appointment.
This is a day work position working73.50 hours per fortnight. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.

Salary of $98,999 – 119,801 pa.Starting salary negotiable within range subject to experience in a similar role. Annual salary increase within this range in accordance with the Tasmanian State Service Award and Public Service Union Wages Agreement.

This position isbased at Risdon Vale.
The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).
Duties · Develop and deliver a pilot program that adapts Tasmania Prison Service's current family violence intervention program to appropriately meet the needs of people who are either held on remand for family violence offences or serving short sentences for family violence offences ('clients').
· Provide supervision and direction to less experienced staff in both the program delivery and case management to this particular client cohort.
· Provide case coordination and case management to clients drawing on a broad range of therapeutic models, including intensive case management models that supports holistic continuity of care.
· Assess the needs of clients and implement appropriate urgent and non-urgent response strategies, services and supports.
· Deliver services to clients and facilitate referrals to other services where appropriate.
· Undertake risk assessments and safety planning.
· Liaise and strengthen collaborations and relationships with stakeholders and service providers.

· A degree of at least three years duration relevant to the professional duties to be undertaken is required, as provided by a recognised university.
· Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status-Employment).

2.Disciplinary action in previous employment.
· Experience in engaging with people in custody, including people experiencing intersectional disadvantage.
