Specialist Anaesthetists IMG's - CA & Specialist pathway doctors welcome! We are seeking talented Specialist Anaesthetists for a variety of roles based in the Brisbane outer metro area and Regional /Coastal QLD.
In this role you would be supporting the Director of Anaesthetics to provide high quality care, organisation and management. This team consists of 11 other Specialists, supported by 16 Registrars/PHO, 8 RMOs, and 9 interns. The Department at this hospital also provides services to the regional hospitals in the area.
The Fraser Coast, known for its diverse, natural landscapes, laid-back lifestyle and mild climate, is located just a quick 45-minute flight north of Brisbane. This destination is the stepping-off point to the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, known for incredible whale watching encounters and some of the safest family-friendly beaches in Queensland.
This location is known as the whale watching capital of the world and is a well-known tourist destination, with affordable real estate and excellent schools.
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this role plays an important part in providing direction and guidance to the Anaesthetic group across a range of responsibilities.
The Department provides a Preadmission Clinic, Acute Pain Service, and access to a wide range of anaesthetic experiences.
About the Role This role reports to the Director of Anaesthesia. This position fulfils accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives. Provision of the highest standards of clinical anaesthesia and peri-operative patient care. Ensuring patient safety by understanding and appropriately managing clinical risk. This role will involve the provision of anaesthesia-related services as determined by the needs of the Hospital, including Main Operating theatres, including Cardiac theatres. As Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist - Anaesthesia, you will be a valuable team member, working with the Director of Anaesthesia to ensure that the Anaesthesia services provided are of the highest standard and delivered safely, reliably, and efficiently.
This hospital has 305 beds and is the main referral hospital in Central Queensland, serving a population of over 250,000.
