This role will be based in our Geraldton office Monday to Friday. However, this position will be required to attend shutdowns to support, train, upskill, and educate employees as an on-site safety resource. This may include day and night shifts depending on business needs.
Mandatory Requirements: Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Driver's License National Police Clearance Desirable: Occupational First Aid Confined Space qualification Working at Heights qualification MR Driver's License or above Experience delivering Confined Space and Working at Heights Training Mill Relining experience LF, DG, RB High Risk Work Licenses Telehandler License/Qualification Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation Superior verbal and written skills and presentation skills Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team Computer expertise and the ability to learn new systems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook Developed conflict management skills Key Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor and review compliance with the Company's Health, Safety, and Environment plans and strategies Manage and execute Health, Safety, and Environment consultation processes Undertake regular audits, risk assessments, hazard identifications, and workplace inspections Drive and facilitate the prompt reporting of hazards and incidents Regularly review Company WHS policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation Conduct/participate in investigations into workplace incidents and promptly prepare reports for Company's management and clients Facilitate and monitor compliance with statutory requirements, legislation, and workplace policies and procedures by staff and contractors Manage, monitor, and facilitate fitness for work processes locally and on-site Manage Worker's Compensation claims including creation of Return to Work plans in consultation with the relevant treating specialists Coordinate Worker's Compensation requirements and return to work responsibilities Development and delivery of safety inductions, safety presentations, and safety training including toolbox talks Attend shutdowns as a safety advisor as required by operations Development & Delivery of in-house training and VOC's packages Chair regular safety meetings To apply: Please hit the apply button or email your resume to with Subject line: Senior HSE & Training Advisor Application.
