Provides direct care to surgical patients with primary emphasis on the intra-operative period and responsibility for pre-operative assessment and post-operative evaluation while applying age specific needs in the assessment, treatment and/or care of patient. Possesses substantial knowledge, judgment and skill based upon the principles of the biological, psychological and social sciences.
