Special Counsel - Head Trauma

The OpportunityAs a permanent Special Counsel in our Brisbane CBD-based practice, you'll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice. Reporting to the Legal Practice Manager, you'll work on a range of complex head trauma matters for clients who are advanced in the litigation process.Whether you've come from defendant or plaintiff practice, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role in these cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a Special Counsel with experience contributing to the success of a personal injury practice, or for an experienced Senior Associate seeking to step up into a Special Counsel position.While this is a full-time opportunity, we are open to offering flexible work arrangement options, including work from home options, and part-time with a minimum of 4 days per week, for the right candidate.With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by:Effectively assess and quantify risk of head trauma cases, driving these to a resolution for our clients.Providing the legal advice and representation our clients need and deserve to obtain maximum compensation.Cultivating strong relationships with our clients through exceptional communication and clear management of expectations.Preparing legal documentation with a high degree of detail, and manage and run a file load with a keen level of commercial and fiscal awareness.What you'll bringA Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.Significant experience as a personal injury lawyer.Familiarity with Queensland Law and legislation, in particular the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 and Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999.An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo and always stay ahead of the pack.A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.The passion, motivation and enthusiasm to contribute to our culture and ensure it's a place where everyone can thrive.
