You bring you.The TeamWe are proud to have a strong Class Actions presence nationally, assisting clients to secure justice in some of the nation's most prominent Class Actions, including the Worley Ltd shareholder class action, Stolen Wages and Stolen Generations class actions and the Ruby Princess class action.
The team is led by two experienced and highly regarded Joint Heads of Class Actions and assisted by a dedicated team of Practice Leaders, Special Counsels, Senior Associates and other legal professionals.The OpportunityDue to growth, this is a newly-created opportunity for a Special Counsel with experience contributing to the success of running class actions, or for an experienced Senior Associate seeking to step up into a Special Counsel position.
Whether you've come from defendant or plaintiff practice, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role on prominent cases, including contributing to case strategy, expert evidence and investigations into new class actions.
With mentorship from a team of highly experienced class actions practitioners, you will have an ideal balance of autonomy and guidance.With compassion, connection and purpose, you'll truly champion our clients by: Originating new class action opportunities and securing the funding for these matters.Providing strategic advice and updates to Shine's partnered litigation funders on budgeting of individual and portfolio matters.Developing and maintaining strong relationships with class action group members, providing regular and effective communication whilst managing expectations.Managing the case strategy of multiple class actions, using case plans and effectively delegating and overseeing a team of Senior Associates and Associates.What you'll bringTo thrive in this role, you will have:Significant experience as a solicitor practising across complex commercial litigation or personal injuries.Desire to lead high performing legal teams.Strong legal analytical skills, research skills, and attention to detail.Ability to work with and manage large volumes of complex documents and reports.A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.The passion, motivation and enthusiasm to contribute to our culture and ensure it's a place where everyone can thrive.Shine Lawyers: A place for you.
