Hours per fortnight73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
DutiesLiaise with the Commission's Planning Advisers, Senior Planning Consultants, and Commission delegates to provide specialist spatial and data analysis advice including geospatial advice, spatial and data analytics, data management, and research to support Commission decision-making on land use and development matters.Prepare high-quality written and visual outputs in both 2D and 3D formats for stakeholders, translating complex technical information into easy-to-understand maps, reports, and data visualisations.Collaborate with staff and Commission delegates to ensure assessments are supported with robust data sets and integrated spatial analysis.Provide technical advice and training to staff and Commission delegates as required.Develop bespoke applications to analyse spatial and non-spatial data for meaningful insights and data-informed decision-making.Maintain digital data infrastructure for geospatial datasets relevant to the Commission's statutory responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and integrity.Consult with external stakeholders to assist in developing map-based planning scheme amendments and provide advice and training as required.Maintain knowledge of various GIS software and monitor ongoing developments in GIS capability and applications.Perform other duties as required, in accordance with the classification of the role and the skills, competence, and training of the occupant.Application ProcessTo apply, please provide a Short Form Application, which is a 1-2 page covering letter outlining your experience, skills, and knowledge related to the Statement of Duties, along with your current Resumé/CV.
