The Space Planner is a member of the Configuration Team within the Engineering Department and is primarily responsible for the development of minor renovation design packages, records maintenance, and process coordination in support of space management and planning at the Joint Defense Facility Pine Gap.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities/DutiesDevelop design packages and cost estimates in support of site space management and planningCoordinate site space requests in accordance to space planning proceduresPrepare, develop and manage documentation for facility modificationsFacilitate creation and review of site facility architectural/space/furniture standardsPrepare and deliver facilities space reports and presentations as requiredDevelop and implement change management practices for space planning effortsMaintain and update ARCHIBUS drawings and data typesDraft architectural and interior layout drawings for space proposalsEnsure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirementsAny other reasonable duties as requestedQUALIFICATIONS Essential Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Architecture or other relevant or related disciplineGood understanding of construction practices and basic architectural, data/communication, electrical, and mechanical designKnowledgeable in AutoCAD, enough to complete conceptual and planning drafting requirementsProficient in the use of MS Office applicationAbility to lift up to 10 kg independentlyDesirableRegistered Professional Engineer or ArchitectPMP CertificationPost Graduate QualificationsAustralian White CardEXPERIENCE DesirableExperience working in ARCHIBUSDemonstrated facility renovation and project management experienceProject managementLeadership and managementSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTIt is a condition of employment at JDFPG that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
