Sous chef with restaurant experience Relocate to stunning Newcastle Stunning Location in the middle of the CBD As a Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Executive Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, delivering high-quality, fresh dishes to our customers.
You'll be a key player in maintaining food standards, training kitchen staff, and ensuring excellent kitchen hygiene.
You'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills while contributing to the creative development of the menu.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in leading and managing the kitchen team.
Prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation.
Support the Head Chef in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
Oversee kitchen operations, including food safety, cleanliness, and stock control.
Help train, motivate, and develop junior kitchen staff.
Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and health & safety practices are followed.
Work in a fast-paced environment, delivering great results under pressure.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should have: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a busy kitchen environment.
Creativity, attention to detail, and a keen eye for presentation.
